Only just read this - how is Fraser doing? What a joyful piece yet bringing us into your terrifying time. I need to read it again for all the points for my own reflection. Upon first read, these points struck the biggest chords: bravely breaking the barrier of asking for help, the power of communities, both place-based and online, and a reminder of the power of prayer. A friend is a very devout Christian, and knows my "great for you, just not for me" stance, and has prayed for those I love in times of great need. And I truly appreciated it, and felt comforted. Thanks for sharing. It will be a powerful book.

Rachel, thank you so, so much. I think you have really nailed the key points there. It's sometimes hard to see them when you've written from the heart! Fraser is doing brilliantly, his wound is healing and the emotional wounds too...energy levels will take longer but he's ready to pick up the threads of his life again xx

So important to pick up on the emotional as well as the physical. I'm so glad Fraser is doing so well. So wise to know himself so well, and so brave to find the strength to disagree with people when it REALLY counted! For my part, I'm really glad LinkedIn pointed me to Joyful Practice...as once before, Lou, when the student is ready.... have a joyful Sunday ❤️

Dear Lou. First of all how are you and Fraser? Secondly, deep thanks to Fraser and to you for sharing this experience. As always, your writing resonates on so many essential levels, t opens up my thinking and awakens me to the many limiting blind-spots so many of us share. Wishing Fraser a joyful recovery period and sending love to you. Noelle x

OOO poor Fraser!! I had a liver abcess which became sepsis, after fighting with doctors. Eek. It sounds like you and Fraser have been able to be really open and honest with each other. Sometimes you need your mum there, but sometimes you need the space to do it alone. What a great relationship you have! xx
